11. CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION:
For foreign players (FIDE zones 1.1 – 1.9):
a) Applicationsshould be sent by e-mail to amplicochess@gmail.com no later than on the 25th of November 2011. The application must contain the player’s name, rating, birth date.
b) Entry fee and accommodation payments(for players using an official hotel) must be made:

IV) in the playing hall on the 16th of December 2011between 17:00-20:00.
Remarks:
a) On the 17th of December 2011 it will not be possible to make the payment.
b) The entry fee once paid will not be returned.
c) Entry fees for players registered after the 25th of November 2011 are doubled.
d) Players paying by a bank transfer have to cover the full cost of the transfer.
e) A list of players who have paid the entry fee and a hotel reservation list will be regularly updated on the championship website. In case of doubts, please contact the organisers by sending an e-mail to amplicochess@gmail.com .
f) Players registered after the 25th of November 2011 will be allowed to participate only in the case of free places. The organisers reserve the right to admit such players from the second round.
g) Players wishing to obtain a billare kindly requested to send all necessary information to amplicochess@gmail.com .
h) The organisers reserve the right to verify the data given in the applications by unrated players.
12. ENTRY FEE:
a) players born 1997 or later: 80 PLN or 20 € (includes 1.5 € for the ECU)
b) players born 1991-1996: 100 PLN or 25 € (includes 1.5 € for the ECU)
c) players born 1951 or earlier: 80 PLN or 20 € (includes 3 € for the ECU)
d) other players: 100 PLN or 25 € (includes 3 € for the ECU)
Remark:
European Rapid Chess Championship medallists 2010, female players with ELO rating at least 2400 and players with ELO rating at least 2600 on the 1st of November 2011 do not need to pay the entry fee, if registered no later than on the 25th of November 2011.
13. VERIFICATION OF PARTICIPATION:
The list of participants will be published on the website www.poloniachess.pl . Participation of any player present on the list is thereby confirmed. Such a player may arrive directly for the first round, provided that she/he has paid an entry fee.

Remarks:
a) Prizes (both main and special) are not shared.
b) Only one special prize can be given to a player. If she/he wins more prizes, she/he receives the highest one. If the value of the prizes is equal, the player receives (if applicable) prizes in the following order:
I) for the best girl (in the youngest possible group)
II) for the best junior (in the youngest possible group)
III) for the best player born in 1951 or earlier
IV) for the best woman
V) for the best place in rating groups (in the lowest possible group).
c) All prizes are shown before taxes. According to the Polish law, all prizes below 760 PLN (about 190 €) are free of taxation; from higher prizes the income tax of 10% is deducted.
16. SPECIAL CONDITIONS
a) Free accommodation (from the 16th till the 19th of December 2011) in the Ibis Stare Miasto Hotel (single rooms) for 10 highest rated players registered no later than on the 25th of November 2011.
b) Free accommodation (from the 16th till the 19th of December 2011) in the Ibis Stare Miasto Hotel (double rooms) for 10 players seeded 11th-20th registered no later than on the 25th of November 2011.
c) Free accommodation (from the 16th till the 19th of December 2011) in the Ibis Stare Miasto Hotel (a single room) for the highest rated woman registered no later than on the 25th of November 2011.
d) Free accommodation (from the 16th till the 19th of December 2011) in the Ibis Stare Miasto Hotel (a double room) for the 2nd and 3rd highest rated women registered no later than on the 25th of November 2011.
e) The organisers will cover travel expenses (up to 300 € according to tickets) for 10 highest rated players registered no later than on the 25th of November 2011.
f) Appearance fees for players with ELO rating at least 2700 (female players with ELO rating at least 2600), negotiable with the Deputy Tournament Director Dr. Agnieszka Fornal-Urban; e-mail: amplicochess@gmail.com .
17. HOTELS
a) The official tournament hotel is IBIS Stare Miasto Hotel, Warsaw (ul. Muranowska 2) — 2.6 km from the playing hall.
I) Single room with a bathroom (including breakfast): 200 PLN(about 50 €) per day.
II) Double room with a bathroom (including breakfast): 100 PLN(about 25 €) per person per day.
III) Triple room with a bathroom (including breakfast): 75 PLN(about 19 €) per person per day. The room contains a twin bed and another small bed.
IV) Payment for accommodation — see point 11 of the General Information.
V) The organisers will provide free bus transfer from the IBIS Stare Miasto Hotel to the playing hall and back for the players staying in the hotel.
b) The second tournament hotel is Etap Hotel (1 Zagórna street) — 3.3 km from the playing hall.
I) Single room with a bathroom (including breakfast): 180 PLN(about 45 €) per day.
II) Double room with a bathroom (including breakfast): 95 PLN(about 24 €) per person per day.
III) Triple room with a bathroom (including breakfast): 75 PLN(about 19 €) per person per day. The room contains a twin bed and another small bed.
IV) Payment for accommodation — see point 11 of the General Information.
V) The organisers will provide free bus transfer from the Etap Hotel to the playing hall and back for the players staying in the hotel.
c) The third tournament hotel is Atos Hotel (ul. Mangalia 1) — 7 km from the playing hall.
I) Double room with a bathroom (including breakfast): 85 PLN(about 21 €) per person per day.
II) Triple room with a bathroom (including breakfast): 65 PLN(about 16 €) per person per day.
III) Payment for accommodation — see point 11 of the General Information.
IV) The organisers will provide free bus transfer from the Atos Hotel to the playing hall and back for the players staying in the hotel.
18. INSURANCE:
Players have to insure themselves for health and accident risk for the period of the championship.
19. VISAS:
a) Poland is a member of the Schengen agreement.
b) Citizens of the following European countries are not required to be in possession of a visa when entering Polandfor less than 90 days: Andorra, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxemburg, Malta, Monaco, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Romania, San Marino, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, United Kingdom, Vatican.
c) A person wishing to receive an invitation for a visa from the organisers have to stay in one of the official hotels.
d) Persons who prefer to stay elsewhere need to take care of their visas on their own.
e) The organisers will not be responsible for issuing an invitation for visa purpose if necessary information (last name, first name, home address, passport number, date of issue and validity and the name of the official hotel chosen) is submitted after the 14th of November 2011.
f) Persons requiring visas are requested to contact the Deputy Tournament Director, Dr. Agnieszka Fornal-Urban, at amplicochess@gmail.com .
